Citation Scorecard is designed for controlled evaluation and integration within legal-technology environments. Security controls are applied according to the deployment model, approved data sources, and agreed implementation scope.
Controlled access for authorized evaluators
The Citation Scorecard evaluation environment is separate from the public Checkstead website and limited to authorized participants.

Evaluation documents and provider credentials are processed only as needed to perform the requested verification workflow.

Citation Scorecard is not intended to function as a document-management or long-term report-storage service.
In the current controlled evaluation environment, external legal-source requests are limited to the citation, quotation, and related authority information needed for the applicable check. The complete document is not transmitted to the legal-data provider.
Evaluation activity is separated by authorized user
Verification jobs and reports in the controlled evaluation environment are associated with the authorized evaluator who submitted them. Other evaluators are not permitted to retrieve those results merely by obtaining or guessing a report reference.
Security aligned to the implementation
Commercial implementations may be structured around the legal-technology platform’s approved environment, access controls, governance requirements, and authorized legal-data sources. Detailed architecture, responsibilities, and supporting materials are addressed during technical diligence and implementation planning.
Security representations are limited to controls documented for the applicable evaluation or implementation.
Hosting infrastructure
The controlled Citation Scorecard evaluation environment is hosted using infrastructure provided by Render. Application access, evaluator authorization, verification workflows, and report controls are administered by Checkstead. Render publishes information about its platform security and compliance practices.
